The town of Lake Lure is known for many things, but it is best known for the film location of the blockbuster film "Dirty Dancing" in 1987.  Today Lake Lure still celebrates the film by hosting an annual festival for the film.  You can schedule tours and discover location where filming took place.  Take a 15-minute scenic drive to beautiful locations, including Lake Lure Beach Club, Chimney Rock, Downtown restaurants and shops. The Biltmore Estate located in Asheville, North Carolina is a short drive from the cabin.  For the hiking enthusiast, the popular Buffalo Creek Park is 10 minutes away.  If you enjoy the water,  Lake Lure beach is a popular destination spot in the spring and summer.
